Bolivian Rosewood, often called Pau Ferro or Morado among other names is found in the jungles of Brazil and Bolivia. Each piece is unique as the color can range from dark burgundy to deep purple to rich brown and the yellow sap provides a nice contrast. It is commonly used in musical instruments, wood turning and other specialty products and furniture. As such this is a thick, heavy cutting board able to withstand typical usage. This wood is some of the most beautiful wood I have worked with to date. The grains, the colors and the elegance of this species is truly amazing.

As with all hand-crafted pieces, the wood grains of each crafted board will have its own unique spin, as no two boards will ever be identical! You are receiving a truly one-off piece.
