Burlwood results from harvesting a tree or a portion of a tree that has a burl. A burl is a growth on a tree formed from unsprouted bud tissue. The burl forms large, knobby-looking growths on the base and trunk of the tree. When sliced open, the wild grains are realized and create a unique pattern that cannot be replicated.

As with all hand-crafted pieces, the wood grains of each clock will have its own unique spin, as no two clocks will ever be identical! Strong clock mechanisms and unique hands are incorporated. You are receiving a truly one-off piece.
