Padauk wood is obtained from several species of Pterocarpus, found primarily in Asia and Africa. The scientific name means "wing fruit", referring to the unusual shape of the seed pods. 

The deep red associated with this wood makes it an amazing match with the Pure Gold pigment mixed in with the epoxy. Sanded and hand crafted to a smooth finish, these coasters will brighten up any room .

As with all hand-crafted pieces, the wood grains and color swirls of each coaster set will have its own unique spin, as no two sets will ever be identical! You are receiving a truly one-off set.
